Dr. Brandau graduated from Hoover High School in 1972 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 and DDS degree in 1979, both from The Ohio State University. He was married in 1975 to his wife Patricia (Lutz—Hoover High School 1972) and has two children (Erica-Hoover H.S./1998 and Greg-Hoover H.S./2002). After dental school, he returned to North Canton to establish his dental practice. Dr. Brandau worked in a partnership with Dr. Richard Longbrake for twenty-two years then moved to his current location on North Main Street where he worked solo for another eight years. Dr. Jeremy Unger joined him in practice upon his graduation in July 2009. Greg Brandau is currently in dental school at OSU and plans to join the practice when he graduates.

Dr. Brandau has seen many changes in dentistry over the thirty years he has been practicing. Many innovative techniques and materials have offered new ways to better meet the needs of today’s dental patient. Keeping up to date with these changes is a never-ending responsibility that a dentist cannot ignore. It also keeps the work interesting. Mastering these changes, as well as those yet to come, is a responsibility Dr. Brandau takes very seriously.

- Partner

Graduated from The Ohio State University in 2009 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Though Dr. Unger is originally from Marietta, Ohio, he, his wife Erica (Brandau) Unger, and their daughter Kiersten, have recently returned to North Canton having been in Columbus, Ohio for the last 4 years. Prior to dental school, Dr. Unger served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Quantico, VA and Washington, DC, which further afforded him temporary assignments in San Diego and Norfolk Naval Bases. Short-term deployments onboard the USS Hue City and the USS Carter Hall exposed him to many challenges and growth opportunities that he brings with him into private practice as a dentist.

Besides having a general exposure to all areas of dentistry as a part of his doctorate training at Ohio State, Jeremy is currently focusing his continuing education in the areas of periodontics and implant dentistry. He understands that long-term oral health requires a solid foundation. Healthy teeth need healthy gums and bones. "Dentists today must look at our patients as a whole, rather than just treating the problems when they arise. Medicine and technology play a larger role than ever in the services that we provide and give us new information that just wasn't available even a few years ago. If we look ahead and see problems before they start, it is much easier and less expensive for patients to have a healthy mouth and body for their entire lives."
