Teeth Whitening
Nobody wants yellowed or discolored teeth, and there are many ways to attempt to whiten your smile, but not all methods are as effective, and some can damage your tooth enamel and your gums. There are a lot of options for commercial “whitening kinds of toothpaste,” and some can be moderately effective at removing stains, making your teeth a few shades whiter. But many of this toothpaste use abrasive substances to remove stains, and can actually damage your tooth enamel.
There are also many in-office whitening options, and Dr. Brandau has chosen to use Opalescence whitening treatments because he believes it provides the best aesthetic results while causing the least damaging to tooth enamel. Opalescence uses hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide to break down the discolored molecules on your teeth and brighten your smile, giving you safe and noticeable results. Patients can whiten their teeth with Opalescence at Dr. Brandau’s office with a treatment lasting about an hour.
